The story of how a broken boot, a lost phone, and a bus ticket taught me to put Allah first

Micro-failures are actually wins — What I’ve been learning
I think it can get so discouraging if you are trying to achieve something and you are constantly hit with setbacks and failures. Failures (for me at least) can turn into seeds of self-doubt and can take a huge toll on ones self-esteem. With so much failures it's very easy to want to give up, but we don't want that. #nowayhoze.

DIY JACKETS.
I was inspired by Devan Shimoyama’s piece (shown below) to mess around with my flowers I use for my decor, and add them to my pieces of clothing. It was super fun making these, I felt like my insides were out. I use regular clothes pins to pin the flowers to the material. Pretty straight forward. I’m in love with the yellow one so I’m actually going to stitch it onto the jacket for good. That’ll be my spring coat of the year lol. check out his instagram! I thought it was really beautiful.

African History is a topic that always interested me, I think there is so much richness in Africa's past that isn't talked about enough. I use to have an African studies & history minor but the way my gpa is set up.... I don't want to talk about it. Nonetheless here are 4 of some of the oldest masjids in Africa:
