Trusting Allah’s timing can be very painful, I’ve learnt not worry — my Jummah reflection
One thing I realized about this dunya: pain is unavoidable. If you are not tested in delay of something, you will be tested once you have it. If you are not tested once you have it, you will be tested by the loss of it. You maybe tested with all 3, with 2/3, but just know it will come. It is not something to fear, though...

Atomic Habits: Why even bother?
I really can’t emphasize how much I learned from this book. You can tell the author is speaking from experience; the points are very articulate, the examples are very relatable, overall amazing book. My blog posts will in no way do justice to the chapters, I’m just sharing the points that resonated with me. If you liked anything I spoke about, I really recommend you pick up a copy if you can. If you couldn’t tell from the title, the book is about developing habits to improve the quality and performance of your life. DIY JACKETS.
I was inspired by Devan Shimoyama’s piece (shown below) to mess around with my flowers I use for my decor, and add them to my pieces of clothing. It was super fun making these, I felt like my insides were out. I use regular clothes pins to pin the flowers to the material. Pretty straight forward. I’m in love with the yellow one so I’m actually going to stitch it onto the jacket for good. That’ll be my spring coat of the year lol. check out his instagram! I thought it was really beautiful.

The Beauty of Islam: To lose hope is disbelief in Allah
I learned the hard way it’s really useless to start something, whether it is a new program, a new dream, or meeting a deadline, and allow yourself to have negative thoughts as you work towards it. (ie. mentally preparing yourself that it’s not gonna work out)

“Your Work is Nice, But Who Reads Anymore?”
We know that trends come and go, and certain styles and presentation of art is more preferred than others. I think it is safe to say that we are in a time where reading is not as popular as other forms of media. I personally don’t know why that is, maybe we have become such a fast paced environment, it’s hard to find the time to read? Or since media has become a place of escapism, many times we want to avoid thinking, rather than sparking it? I really don’t know, but I know many avid readers in my life (including me) so I hate hearing those pessimistic takes, “reading…
